As seen on Dragons Den - new model for 2009
Place on top of a conventional radiator, switch on and reduce heating time and cost all for around 1p per week to run. Average households could save up to £140 per year. The unit is adjustable in size and also has a thermostatic control.
The thermostat means that the unit will switch on at approximately 32 degress C making this years model even more efficient.
The unit works in two ways.
The fan arrangement in the Radiator Booster 2 draws heat from your radiator heating up your room far more quickly allowing the boiler to shut down more quickly . Typically the average central heating boiler uses 15kw of energy every hour hence if you save one hour per day in this way you will save over 100kwh in just one week.
Secondly the rear surface of a radiator also heats up and therefore precious energy is lost through the wall. The fan of the Radiator Booster 2 draws this heat out into the room. To further enhance this effect we recommend fitting Heat Keeper radiator panels which will all but eliminate this wasted heat through the walls.
Extension cables can be purchased for the Radiator Booster 2 which extends the supplied cable from 1.8 metres to 3.8 metres so even the most secluded radiator can be reached.
